Dear Tom,

I hope that you are well and have had a good New Year.  I am just writing to thank you for Bella’s Birthday dinner.  There is always going to be a small amount of trepidation organising an event with someone that you don’t know or sampled the food.  There was no need for me to have any concerns.

It was so good not to have to worry about anything.  Julian and I have friends at home for dinner often and for me not to have to lift a finger was just wonderful.  From not setting the table right through to only clearing away a few glasses at the end of the evening. The food was also wonderful.  Particularly the Lobster Caesar and the Black beef. Bella was very impressed with her extra portion of mash! I would have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone, it is just a shame you live so far away!

So thank you, and also to everyone else who helped you on the evening.
